People in San Francisco Aren’t All Bad

Recently, the media has been shedding a very negative light on the upper class population of San Francisco. The reason for this is because of a recent episode of the show Wife Swap. If you aren’t familiar with this show, it follows two families who trade mothers/wives for two weeks. Because the show always selects two families with very different backgrounds and philosophies, there is always a lot of tension and drama. However, the reason that this recent episode attracted so much attention is because when a wife from the Midwest was sent to live with a family in San Francisco for two weeks, she was absolutely verbally berated and degraded by the husband of the San Francisco family.

While he lived up to every elitist stereotype about people in San Francisco, I can say from personal experience that the majority of people there don’t act that way. I have taken trips to San Francisco on several occasions, and most of the people I have spent time with there are quite friendly and down to earth.
